Reference numbers worth knowing before you open an album
Most sizing confusion starts with names rather than measurements. "Medium" means a
different bag at every house, so the published centimetres are the only figure that
travels between brands. These are the brand references buyers ask about most often:
- Nano Speedy — 16 x 10 x 7.5 cm, the compact end of the Speedy family.
- Speedy Bandoulière 25 — 25 x 19 x 15 cm; the 30 measures 30 x 21 x 17 cm and the 35 measures 35 x 23 x 18 cm.
- Speedy P9 Bandoulière 30 (the Pharrell Williams leather version) — 32 x 22.5 x 18 cm, so roughly 2 cm wider than the canvas Speedy 30.
- Dior Mini Jett messenger — 20 x 13.5 x 7 cm in Dior Oblique jacquard.
Album entries occasionally quote a slightly different figure, usually because the piece
was measured flat rather than filled. Treat the album number as the description of the
item you are asking about, and ask for a tape-measure photo whenever a centimetre or two
decides whether the bag fits your routine.
Shoes, watches, belts: the three fit numbers buyers get wrong
Shoe sizing is the most common mismatch because three systems disagree. A US men's 9 is
a UK 8.5 and an EU 42; a US women's 8 is a UK 5.5 and an EU 38.5. If you normally buy one
system, send that system plus your foot length in centimetres and let the catalog team
match it to the labelling on the box.
Watch sizing is a diameter decision, not a "men's or women's" decision. A 35–37 mm case
reads minimal, 38–40 mm reads sporty, and anything above 41 mm needs a larger wrist to sit
correctly. Ask for case diameter, thickness, and lug-to-lug length: a watch can sit under
a cuff comfortably at 38 mm and awkwardly at 40 mm if the lug-to-lug is long.
Belt sizing cannot be taken from a trouser size. Measure the belt you already wear from
the fold at the buckle to the hole you actually use, then state that number along with
the width you want. A 3 cm strap and a 3.5 cm strap take different buckles, and a buckle
that swaps between them is unusual.
What to send with your first link
Open the album, save the item photo and reference, then send the reference, the colour,
the size or measurement you need, the quantity, and your destination country in one
message. Buyers who include a second-choice reference usually get a usable answer on the
first reply even when the exact piece cannot be checked.
