Order process

How the ordering process works

This page is the plain version of how an order moves from a first message to a delivered parcel: what we check, what you confirm, and the point in the sequence where you see the actual piece. It is written so that the process can be held to, not just described. Last updated September 23, 2026.

The six steps, in order

The sequence below is the same for a single sample piece and for a mixed order across categories. The one step worth holding us to is the fourth: the prepared piece is photographed for your approval before anything is packed, and the parcel is sealed only after you confirm it.

  1. You send a reference, and we check what can be offered now. Start from a category page or a screenshot you already have, and send it on WhatsApp with the quantity and the destination country. If you are weighing up two or three similar styles, number the images so every question has one item attached to it. Availability is answered per reference, because album entries rotate and a general answer would be worse than no answer.
  2. Style, size, colour, and the details you care about are confirmed. The specification that can actually be prepared for that reference is written back to you, along with the closest alternatives when the first choice cannot be checked. This is also the step where your own list is collected: stitching, hardware tone, lining, strap drop, measurements, packaging. Anything you want compared later has to be written here first, because this is the list the piece is prepared against.
  3. The piece is prepared and compared with what was agreed. Stitching, hardware tone, lining, closures, and packaging are compared with the confirmation held in your thread, using the same points as our bag quality inspection checklist. If something does not line up with the agreed specification, it is raised in the conversation rather than packed and sent on the assumption that it will pass.
  4. Photos of that specific piece are sent to you, with a short clip when a detail needs movement. Photographs of the prepared piece are shared in the same WhatsApp thread. Where the point you asked about is easier to judge in motion — a clasp closing, a strap attachment, the tone of the hardware beside your reference image — a short video is added. A photo shows surface, hardware tone, shape, and packaging well; it cannot show how the piece feels in the hand, so ask for the specific angle you need instead of relying on a general shot.
  5. Nothing is packed for dispatch until you confirm. The parcel is sealed only after you have seen the piece in the thread and confirmed it. If a photo raises a question, that question is answered before the parcel is closed — which is the whole reason the images are sent early rather than after dispatch.
  6. Dispatch, waybill reference, and tracking stay in the same conversation. Once you confirm, the parcel is packed and handed to the carrier. The dispatch reference appears in the thread, and tracking updates continue there as the parcel moves, so the photos you approved, the agreed specification, and the tracking record remain in one place instead of scattered across messages.

Photos of your piece, and what a photo can prove

Two different things share the word "photo" on this website, and confusing them leads to the wrong expectation. The reference clips in the catalog video center are published samples: they show a model family, a colourway, or a visible detail so you can narrow down a style before ordering. The photographs and short clips sent during preparation are different — they are of the piece being prepared for your order, in your own thread, against the specification you agreed.

A photograph is good at shape, surface finish, hardware tone, colour relative to a reference image, stitching visibility, and packaging. It is poor at weight, hand feel, and anything that only shows up after weeks of use. That is why the preparation step is a conversation rather than a one-way upload: the angle you ask for is the angle worth sending, and a detail that cannot be shown in a still image is better discussed in the thread than glossed over.

The list the piece is compared against is public, and you are welcome to read it and add to it: the bag quality inspection checklist covers exterior finish, hardware, stitching and construction, lining, straps and handles, and function. Bringing your own points to step two is the cheapest way to avoid a question after the parcel has closed.

What you are confirming, and when

Confirmation is not a formality before payment — it is the last point where a change is still free. When the photographs arrive in your thread, these are the things worth checking against what was agreed:

  • The style, size, and colour of the piece in the images match the confirmed reference.
  • The detail you specifically asked to see — a clasp, a strap attachment, an edge finish, a measured tape — is visible somewhere in the set.
  • The hardware tone and the surface finish read the way you expected next to your reference image.
  • The interior layout and the packaging are the ones discussed, including any insert or dust bag you requested.
  • Nothing in the images contradicts the specification you wrote in step two.

If all of that holds, confirm in the thread and the parcel is packed. If one line does not hold, raise that line before confirming. The returns and exchange policy begins from the same place — a parcel whose contents differ from the photographs you approved — and it explains what to send and how a claim is handled.

What this page does not promise

The sequence above is written to be checkable, so it deliberately leaves out the parts that depend on the item rather than on the process:

  • No price is published on this website. Payment is discussed in the conversation, per order.
  • No preparation time is published as a guarantee. It is confirmed per item, in the thread.
  • No fixed arrival date is promised. The transit windows on this page are reference ranges drawn from normal operation.
  • No claim that a particular reference is available at a particular moment. That answer comes from the album, item by item.
  • No pass rate, score, or inspection tally is marketed. The checks we work from are the ones written on the public checklist page, and you can read every line of them.

Reference timeline, not a guarantee

Every line below is a reference range. None of it is a commitment to a date, and the only stage we can speak to with certainty is the dispatch record, once the parcel is actually moving.

Stage What is typical (reference only)
Confirmation and preparation Confirmed per item in the WhatsApp thread. It takes longer when a specific detail has to be checked or particular packaging is requested.
Handover to the carrier Usually within a day or two of your confirmation, once the piece has been approved by you.
Transit to the destination country Commonly one to three weeks, roughly 7 to 21 business days, on standard routes. A reference range, not a promised arrival date.

Customs clearance, duties, and tax are set by the destination country and are decided there, not by us. The full breakdown — carrier handover, reasons a parcel runs longer than the range, address requirements, and how a status check works — is on the shipping and delivery policy page.

Before you send the first message

A complete first message moves the order straight to step two instead of a round of clarifying questions:

  • The catalog link or a full screenshot of the item, kept with its model or style reference.
  • Colour, size, material, hardware, and packaging requirements you want compared later.
  • Quantity and destination country, so preparation and routing notes match your order.
  • One or two alternatives, in case the first reference cannot be checked that day.
  • Anything you want photographed specifically — strap drop, interior, edge finish, packaging.

The contact page shows a usable first message and explains the response hours. If you would rather start by browsing, the bags catalog and the category pages lead straight to the current album sections.

Common questions about the flow

Do I see the item before it is sent?

Yes. Photographs of the prepared piece are shared in your WhatsApp thread before the parcel is sealed, and a short video is added when the detail you asked about is easier to judge in motion. Nothing is packed for dispatch until you confirm it in the thread.

Are those photos of my piece, or of a sample?

They are of the piece prepared for your order. The reference videos published in the video center are catalog clips that help you recognise a model family or a colourway before ordering; the images sent during preparation are the ones attached to your own thread and your own confirmation.

What is actually checked during preparation?

The points written on the bag quality inspection checklist: exterior finish, hardware, stitching and construction, lining, straps and handles, and function. That page is public, so you can read the exact list the piece is compared against and add your own points to it before preparation starts.

What if the photos show something I do not want?

Say so in the thread before confirming. Since the confirmation step happens while the parcel is still open, a question about a detail, a measurement, or a finish can still be checked. Once the parcel is sealed and moving, the same thread is where any mismatch is compared against the approved photos.

How long does preparation take?

It is confirmed per item, because a piece that has to be checked against a specific detail takes longer than one that is already agreed. Handover to the carrier usually follows within a day or two of your confirmation. We do not publish a fixed preparation time as a promise, because the honest answer depends on the item in front of us.

Can I ask for a specific detail to be recorded?

Yes — that is the point of step two. A strap drop measured with a tape, the interior layout, the tone of the hardware next to your reference image, or the way the packaging is put together can all be raised before preparation. A request made after the parcel is closed is much harder to answer than one made before it opens.

Where do payment, customs, and returns fit into this process?

Payment, import duty, and tax are settled separately from preparation and are discussed in the same conversation rather than published as a figure on this website. What happens after dispatch — carrier handover, reference transit windows, customs, and address requirements — is set out on the shipping and delivery policy page, and what happens if the parcel does not match the approved photos is set out on the returns and exchange page.
