How many rows does the Luxury Bag Size Index have?

Version 1 has 144 rows covering 47 models from 12 houses as of 26 September 2026: 116 bag rows, 8 belt rows and 20 shoe rows. The page table, the CSV download and the JSON download are generated from one data file at build time, so the row count and every number are identical in all three.

Where do the numbers come from?

Every number is quoted from a page that already publishes it: 107 rows come from our own size guides, 31 from a reseller or aggregator reference, and 6 from a brand page. The source_url column names that page and source_type says what kind of page it is. No row was measured by us, so the measured label carries zero rows in version 1, and no figure was copied from a listing photograph or a chat quote.

Why do two sources disagree about the same model?

Usually because they are describing different things: two series under one tier word, two measurement points on the same bag, or a brand page against a reseller table. Balenciaga City Mini is published at 6.5 cm deep for the 2024 relaunch series and 9 cm for the current series, and Dior B30 at EU 45 is published at 30.0 cm of foot length on one chart and 28.6 cm on another. The index prints both rows, names the series or the source in the notes, and never averages: a mean of two published figures is a number no source stands behind.

The Luxury Bag Size Index collects 144 measurement rows across 47 models from 12 brands, in published centimetres only, as of 26 September 2026: bag body width, height and depth with the handle and strap drops the source pages print, belt strap widths, and shoe foot lengths. It exists because the same numbers sit scattered across model pages, size guides and the source pages under them, and comparing a Nano against a Mini normally means reading six tabs. Every figure was already published on gunongtrade.com or on the source page named beside it, and this index adds no new measurement. Nothing is estimated and nothing is interpolated; where two published sources disagree, both rows stay in the table and the disagreement is written into the notes instead of being averaged away; where a publishing source prints no figure, the cell reads "not published". Each row names one source page, and the CSV and JSON downloads carry the same rows, columns and numbers as this table.

Measurement rules: what this index will and will not do

Every figure is a number that was published somewhere first: no new measurement enters this index.
Nothing is estimated, interpolated or converted between sources, and two published figures are never averaged.
Where two published sources disagree, both rows stay and the conflict is written into the notes.
Where a publishing source prints no figure, the cell reads "not published".

Every row below carries the page it came from. Where a house publishes two sets of figures for one tier, or a resale reference disagrees with a brand page, the table keeps both rows and the notes say which is which.

How this index is built

Source hierarchy: which page wins

Rows are labelled by the page they point to, and that label describes source_url — the page a reader can open and check — never the row's editorial weight or our confidence in it. A brand page comes first: where a house publishes its own measurement ladder, that ladder sets the figure and the row is marked brand page. A published measurement of a physical item comes next, because a tape laid across one real bag is the only thing that settles a gusset depth and a drop; those rows are marked measured, and version 1 contains none of them. Our own size guides come after those, marked site guide, and a reseller or aggregator reference comes last, marked reseller. Where two pages of the same rank disagree, both are printed as separate rows and the difference is spelled out in the notes rather than settled by choosing a favourite.

Conflicts are never resolved by arithmetic. Balenciaga publishes both 6.5 cm and 9 cm of depth for two Mini series, so both rows appear with their product codes. Hermès Kelly 25 is printed twice, at 25 × 19 × 9 cm and at 25 × 18 × 10 cm, because two published sets differ by a centimetre in height and depth. Saint Laurent prints 25 cm and 23 cm for LouLou Small on two of its own product pages, so both widths are rows, and the Dior B30 size charts are printed with four columns for one label rather than one compromise figure. The same rule covers a difference in measurement point rather than a difference between sources: Neverfull MM appears at 31 cm across the base and 47 cm across the open top. An average of any of those pairs would describe a bag or a shoe that no source publishes.

How to read the columns, and what is left out

width_cm, height_cm and depth_cm are body measurements, in the order the publishing source prints them. Where a source prints inches, the centimetre figure is what gets stored, converted at 2.54 cm per inch and rounded the way that source rounds it; a published centimetre figure is never re-rounded, and an inch display is never treated as a second measurement. Belts publish a strap width instead of a body, and shoes publish a foot or insole length, so the measurement_basis column says what each figure is: a 4 cm row in the belts block is a strap width and never a bag depth, and a 27 cm row in the shoes block is a foot length and never a bag width. length_cm carries a published length where a source prints one, such as a shoe foot or an insole, and reads not published where it does not.

Drops are stored only when the publishing source prints them. Where a source prints a chain length instead of a drop, the row says so rather than converting it, and where the drops are missing the cell reads not published; nothing here is derived from strap length, from a photograph, from a marketplace description or from a neighbouring tier. A drop is also left blank where a house publishes only a total strap length, because multiplying out a strap gives a number that looks precise and describes nothing you can measure on the bag. The handle drop is the clear vertical space inside the handle loop; the strap drop is a single published figure rather than the shortest and longest points of an adjustable strap, so it says roughly where a bag lands on the body and nothing more precise than that. Where a family ladder carries a fixed chain, the notes record the carrier the source prints.

Rows that only compare one model against another, marked nearest reference or cross-brand reference in the model ladders, are deliberately excluded, because they are not measurements of the model named in the row. Version 1 covers bags, belts and shoes, and it is not a census of any house: a row exists only where a source page had already printed the figure, so a tier whose measurements were never published, or were published on a page this site no longer carries, simply does not appear. One LV Keepall 45 ladder row cites a guide that prints the model name without any dimensions, so that figure is left out and the reason is recorded instead of the number being carried over. Apparel sizing is out of scope, because a jacket measurement and a bag measurement do not share a measuring basis.

Every exclusion is listed in the JSON dataset under skipped_rows, with the row it applies to and the reason it was left out, so a reader can audit the gaps instead of guessing at them. Reading the count matters as much as reading the rows: a house with two tiers in the table is not a house with two sizes, it is a house whose other tiers were never published in centimetres on a page this index could verify. The index is versioned rather than silently edited: a new version is published when rows or figures change, the release date sits in the citation line on this page, and the CSV and JSON downloads always match the table because all three are generated from one data file during the site build. Reuse is free with the citation line; the figures themselves remain the property of the pages named beside them.

Columns are identical in the table, the CSV and the JSON: category, brand, model, tier, width_cm, height_cm, depth_cm, length_cm, handle_drop_cm, strap_drop_cm, measurement_basis, source_type, source_url, as_of, notes, site_page_url. Cells reading "not published" mean the publishing source does not print that figure; nothing is filled in from a neighbouring tier or a photograph.

FAQ

How many rows does the Luxury Bag Size Index have?: Version 1 has 144 rows covering 47 models from 12 houses as of 26 September 2026: 116 bag rows, 8 belt rows and 20 shoe rows. The page table, the CSV download and the JSON download are generated from one data file at build time, so the row count and every number are identical in all three.
Where do the numbers come from?: Every number is quoted from a page that already publishes it: 107 rows come from our own size guides, 31 from a reseller or aggregator reference, and 6 from a brand page. The source_url column names that page and source_type says what kind of page it is. No row was measured by us, so the measured label carries zero rows in version 1, and no figure was copied from a listing photograph or a chat quote.
Why do two sources disagree about the same model?: Usually because they are describing different things: two series under one tier word, two measurement points on the same bag, or a brand page against a reseller table. Balenciaga City Mini is published at 6.5 cm deep for the 2024 relaunch series and 9 cm for the current series, and Dior B30 at EU 45 is published at 30.0 cm of foot length on one chart and 28.6 cm on another. The index prints both rows, names the series or the source in the notes, and never averages: a mean of two published figures is a number no source stands behind.
