Dior's B27 Uptown is sold in European sizes from IT 39 upward, and Dior's own pages print two fit sentences for it: the low-top pages say the style fits true to size and to order your normal shoe size, while the high-top pages say normal fit, please choose your regular shoe size. The low-tops are published under 3SN272 references and the high-tops under 3SH132 or 3SH133 references. Three foot-length columns attached to B27 listings print 24.5, 24.7 and 24.5 cm at IT 39 and 30.1, 31.0 and 30.0 cm at IT 46, so the charts agree at the bottom of the range and drift a full centimetre apart at the top.
The Dior B27 Uptown is sold in European sizes from IT 39 upward, and Dior’s own product pages do not all say the same thing about fit. The low-top pages print one sentence, the high-top pages print a second sentence, and one published high-top reference carries no fit line at all. The charts underneath disagree by up to 1 cm at the same label.

Two fit sentences, printed on different B27s, and one page with neither
Dior’s B27 Uptown low-top pages carry one sentence and repeat it across colourways: the style fits true to size, and the recommendation is to order your normal shoe size. The B27 high-top pages carry a differently worded sentence for the same model name: normal fit, please choose your regular shoe size. Both sentences give the same advice, but they are printed on different products, so a shopper quoting Dior’s own words on a low-top is describing a page the high-top does not carry.
Nor does every B27 page print a fit sentence. The high-top in white and light blue smooth calfskin, reference 3SH132ZIJ_H165 on dior.com’s United States site, lists the whole build of the shoe — the high-top cut, the adjustable and removable Dior Oblique strap at the ankle, the lace-up closure with CD Icon eyelets, the technical mesh lining, the reinforced white and gray rubber toe and outsole, the welded side-sewn construction, the dust bag and gray laces that ship with it, and the made-in-Italy origin line — and then stops, with no fit line anywhere on the published page, which is the same page that carries no weight figure either. Where the fit line is missing, the reference prefix is the more dependable signal: B27 low-tops are published under 3SN272 numbers and high-tops under 3SH132 or 3SH133 numbers, so the number on the box tells you which of the two published fit sentences is meant to apply.
Three foot-length columns, read at the same European size
Foot length is the only column a buyer can check against their own foot, and it is the column that moves. Three published tables that accompany B27 Uptown listings — the Dior men’s conversion table a French retailer republishes for a grey B27 Uptown, the size chart attached to a B27 Uptown in white smooth calfskin and black denim on a Ukrainian retailer’s page, and the chart printed on a third B27 Uptown listing of another colourway — agree closely at the bottom of the range and separate at the top. At IT 39 they print 24.5, 24.7 and 24.5 cm; at IT 41 they print 26.1, 26.1 and 26.0 cm. Then they part: IT 44 as 28.5, 29.0 and 28.0 cm; IT 46 as 30.1, 31.0 and 30.0 cm. The European label never moves — all three call the size a 44 — so what a buyer is choosing between is a centimetre figure, not a size number.
| Dior / IT | Men’s Dior table (republished) | B27 Uptown listing, white and black denim | B27 Uptown listing, third colourway | Spread |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 39 | 24.5 cm | 24.7 cm | 24.5 cm | 0.2 cm |
| 40 | 25.3 cm | 25.5 cm | 25.0 cm | 0.5 cm |
| 41 | 26.1 cm | 26.1 cm | 26.0 cm | 0.1 cm |
| 42 | 26.9 cm | 27.3 cm | 26.5 cm | 0.8 cm |
| 43 | 27.7 cm | 28.0 cm | 27.5 cm | 0.5 cm |
| 44 | 28.5 cm | 29.0 cm | 28.0 cm | 1.0 cm |
| 45 | 29.3 cm | 30.0 cm | 29.0 cm | 1.0 cm |
| 46 | 30.1 cm | 31.0 cm | 30.0 cm | 1.0 cm |
The pattern is worth stating plainly, because it decides how much weight a chart deserves at a given size. Below IT 42 the three columns sit within 0.2 to 0.5 cm of each other, which is finer than the difference a person can feel in a shoe with a padded collar. From IT 44 upward the gap reaches a full centimetre, and a centimetre is the step between two adjacent sizes on any of these ladders. So a buyer at the small end can trust whichever column the page prints, while a buyer at the large end is choosing between tables that disagree by more than the size step they are debating.
What a measured pair shows that no chart prints
Two published measurements of actual B27 pairs make the gap between a chart and a shoe visible. A consignment listing of a black and beige B27 in size 43 records an outsole length of 30 cm, against the 27.7 to 28.0 cm that the same label carries as foot length in the Dior table and the Ukrainian chart. A second listing, this one a white, blue and grey B27 in IT 36, records an insole of 8.5 inches, which is 21.6 cm, an outsole of 9.75 inches, which is 24.8 cm, a heel height of 1 inch, or 2.5 cm, and a total height of 3.25 inches, or 8.3 cm.
Both pairs demonstrate the same arithmetic in opposite places on the ladder. The outsole of the IT 43 pair runs roughly 2 cm longer than the foot length its label is built for, and on the IT 36 pair the outsole runs 3.2 cm longer than its own insole. Neither figure is an error. The outsole is the footprint of the shoe, the insole is the surface the foot rests on, and the chart’s foot length is a third quantity again — the foot the size is intended to carry, with the allowance a shoemaker builds in ahead of the toes. A listing that quotes a 30 cm outsole for a B27 is describing an IT 43, and the foot it was sized for is closer to 28 cm than to 30 cm.
The same low-top is published at 400 g and 490 g
Weight is the fastest way to see how much a colourway changes a B27, because Dior publishes it per pair rather than per model and the figures do not collapse into one number. Four B27 Uptown low-tops are published at 400 g, which is 14 ounces, at 409 g, which is 14.5 ounces, at 470 g, which is 16.5 ounces, and at 490 g, which is 17.5 ounces. The same name, the same low-top cut, the same welded side-sewn construction, and a 90 g spread across four colourways.
The lining line moves with it. Most of the B27 pages reviewed for this guide print a technical mesh lining, while the white and gray grained calfskin version prints a technical fabric and calfskin lining. That is a difference a buyer can feel without a scale: mesh is the lighter, more breathable build, and a calfskin-lined pair is the one that will feel warmer and closer across the top of the foot. Dior’s own note under the weight line says weight details may vary depending on the product’s material, which is the same statement in the manufacturer’s words rather than ours.
Low-top and high-top are two constructions, not one shoe in two heights
The published construction lists separate the two cuts more than the collar height does. The high-top adds an adjustable and removable Dior Oblique strap at the ankle, and on most high-top references the sole line reads as a reinforced white and gray rubber toe and outsole against the low-top’s plain white or white and black rubber sole. One high-top version published in Dior gray calfskin with CD Diamond canvas inserts is the exception in the other direction: its collar is listed as a cushioned high-top with a cushioned ankle, and no strap appears in its build list.
The strap is described as adjustable and removable, and that detail explains something a buyer will notice in photographs. High-top B27 photographs circulate both with the strap in place across the ankle and without it, and the published spec allows both states. A photo missing the strap is not evidence of a different version, so the question to put to a seller is whether both parts of the strap are present rather than whether the shoe in the picture is the right one. On a low-top none of this applies, because no strap is published for that cut.
The size run follows the colourway, not the model
The sizes a B27 is offered in are a property of the individual colourway rather than of the model, and the published listings show how widely that runs. One retailer lists a B27 Uptown in sizes 40, 41, 41.5, 42, 42.5, 43, 43.5, 44, 44.5 and 45, which puts five half steps inside that run. Another retailer lists a different B27 Uptown colourway from 39 through 47 without publishing which half steps exist in it. A consignment listing offers the same model name in IT 36 with a 6 US equivalent beside it.
The conversion columns around those numbers are another place where published tables are not interchangeable, and Fashionphile’s men’s chart is a useful third opinion because it prints the American, European, British and Japanese figures together. It puts US 10.5 at IT 44 with a 29 cm Japanese size, US 11 at IT 44.5, US 11.5 at IT 45 and US 12 at IT 45.5, and it states that Christian Dior uses IT and EU sizing and generally runs true to size. Against the Dior table above, which pairs IT 44 with 28.5 cm of foot length, that is a reminder that the JP label and the foot-length column are two different scales sharing a page.
Why one wearer’s IT 42 is another wearer’s IT 43
Fit accounts for the B27 split in a way that a chart cannot explain, and the split is about the entry rather than the length. One reviewer who filmed a two-colourway unboxing ordered the grey B27 in IT 42, his measured size, and reported that getting the foot into the shoe was a struggle: he could get in, but expected the pair to become uncomfortable over a long day, and moved to IT 43 in both colourways. He described the model as true to size at 43, and singled out the padding at the back of the collar as the reason it felt comfortable once the right length was on. The same account noticed visible creasing across the toe box within minutes of the first wear.
Editorial fit guidance points the other way from the same model. One guide’s comparison table describes the B27 low-top as true to size with a standard width and as more accommodating than the B23, then advises taking a half size down from a usual US sneaker size, and puts the B23 high-top at a full size down because it is narrow and long with a canvas that does not stretch. Put beside the reviewer’s account, the contradiction resolves: the B27 has a soft padded collar and a generous toe box, so a slightly short pair can be pulled on and worn while feeling tight at the instep, and a slightly long pair does not slip. Two wearers in the same printed size can therefore report opposite things without either being wrong.
How to size a B27 from a foot measured in centimetres
The method that survives these disagreements starts from one number the buyer controls. Measure the longer foot, flat against a wall or on a sheet of paper, at the end of the day and in the socks the pair will be worn with, and write down the centimetre figure. Then read it against the foot-length column on the B27 page being used, and check where that size sits on the ladder. Under IT 42 the published columns agree within half a centimetre, so any of them can be used without a correction. At IT 44 and above, where the columns spread to a full centimetre, the safer reading is the middle of the published band rather than its top edge, because the top edge of the wider tables is the figure that produces a pair too long for the foot it was chosen for.
With the centimetre figure settled, the remaining decisions are structural rather than numerical. A low-top and a high-top of the same size are not the same shoe on the foot, because the high-top adds a collar and, on most versions, a strap across the ankle. A colourway decides the weight and often the lining, so a buyer who wants the lighter build should ask which line the listing carries. And a size carried across from a different Dior sneaker is not a translation, because Dior publishes a separate fit line for each model and roots each one in a different last.
The B27 against the B30 Countdown and the B23 League
The three names sit close enough in the numbering that sizes get carried across them, and the published fit lines do not support that. Dior lists the B30 Countdown as true to size, the B23 League low-top and high-top as true to size, and the B27 with the two sentences described above. The published size ranges differ as well: the B30 is offered from IT 35 to 49 with half steps at 40.5, 41.5, 42.5, 43.5 and 44.5, which is a wider span than any B27 listing reviewed here.
Where the third-party guidance exists it disagrees with itself, which is the useful part. The same comparison table that calls the B27 true to size with a standard width also calls the B30 true to size while advising a half size down from a US sneaker size, and pushes the B23 a full size down for being narrow and long. Reading those three lines together, the only consistent message is that the models are built on different lasts: a size that fits in a B23 is a statement about a B23, and the same printed number in a B27 is a different shoe around the foot even when the sole length is comparable.
What a photo of a pair can confirm, and the figure it cannot
A photograph of a B27 answers questions about the pair in front of the camera and nothing else, and on this model it answers a useful set. The side-on angle shows whether the shoe is a low-top or a high-top, whether the collar is plain or cushioned, whether the side panel is an embossed leather Oblique motif or a printed canvas one, whether the sole carries the moulded DIOR lettering, and — on the thicker colourways — the depth of the rubber base, which Dior does not publish as a number on any of the product pages reviewed here.
What a photograph cannot show is the printed size inside the shoe, the reference number on the box, the lining line, or the foot length the pair was bought for. Those four are what a size conversation actually runs on, and none of them appears in an outside view of a shoe. Photographs of the inside label, the box label and the collar are the cheap ones to ask for, because they resolve in one exchange what a stack of clean product angles cannot resolve at all.
The four details that make a sizing question answerable
A usable question about a specific B27 carries four things. First, the reference, or at least the prefix: 3SN272 for a low-top, 3SH132 or 3SH133 for a high-top, because the two cuts are published with different construction lists and different fit sentences. Second, the printed size together with the scale it is printed on, since these shoes are numbered in European sizes and the American and British columns beside them move between tables.
Third, the longer foot measured in centimetres, because that is the number every chart on this page is built around and the only one that survives the conversions intact. Fourth, the colourway, since the weight, the lining and the size run all change with it, and a pair described only as a B27 in size 43 does not yet say whether it is a 400 g pair with a mesh lining or a 490 g pair with a leather one. With those four, a size question resolves without an argument about which table is right, and without anyone estimating sole depth from a photograph.
Browse the shoes catalog or send your size details on WhatsApp. It helps to include the reference prefix, the printed size, the longer foot in centimetres and the colourway. The size tables and figures above are published references collected for research, not a statement about any particular pair in the catalog. For the same approach on the next Dior sneaker down, the Dior B30 size guide works through the insole-versus-foot arithmetic and the four published tables; the shoe size conversion guide handles the European, British and American columns that all of these ladders are built from; the shoe construction and sole guide explains why welded, side-sewn assembly matters when a sole has to be replaced; and the Dior heels size guide covers the other half of the Dior shoe range, where the ribbon strap rather than the last decides the size.

Frequently asked questions about Dior B27 sizing
- Does the Dior B27 run true to size?
- Dior answers that on the product page, and the answer depends on which B27 page you are reading. The low-top pages print the sentence the style fits true to size, we recommend ordering your normal shoe size. The high-top pages print normal fit, please choose your regular shoe size. Both mean the same thing, and neither page prints an instruction to go up or down for a wide foot, a narrow foot or a half size. One published high-top reference, in white and light blue smooth calfskin, carries no fit sentence at all.
- What is the difference between the Dior B27 low-top and the B27 high-top?
- They are published as two different builds, not one shoe cut in two heights. The high-top adds a taller reinforced collar and an adjustable and removable Dior Oblique strap at the ankle, and most high-top references list a reinforced white and gray rubber toe and outsole rather than the low-top's plain white rubber sole. One high-top version in CD Diamond canvas is instead published with a cushioned high-top and no strap. The reference prefix separates them: 3SN272 for low-tops, 3SH132 or 3SH133 for high-tops.
- What foot length does an IT 42 Dior B27 fit?
- Published B27 tables put IT 42 between 26.5 cm and 27.3 cm, an 0.8 cm spread at that one label. IT 43 runs from 27.5 cm to 28.0 cm, and IT 46 from 30.0 cm to 31.0 cm. The European label itself is stable across every table; what moves is the centimetre figure printed beside it, and the spread widens as the size climbs. Measure the longer foot flat against a wall and read that number against the middle of the published band rather than the top of it.
- Does the Dior B27 come in half sizes?
- Some B27 colourways are published with half steps and some are not, and Dior's fit line does not tell you which. A French retailer lists one B27 Uptown in sizes 40, 41, 41.5, 42, 42.5, 43, 43.5, 44, 44.5 and 45, so five half steps inside that run. Another retailer lists a different colourway from 39 to 47 without saying which half steps exist. The half steps are a property of the individual colourway, so the size run on the page you are reading is the one that matters.
- How much does a Dior B27 weigh?
- Dior publishes the weight per colourway rather than per model, and the figures move a long way for a shoe of one name. Four published B27 Uptown low-tops are listed at 400 g, 409 g, 470 g and 490 g, which is a 90 g spread, and Dior attributes the difference to the material the pair is made from. The line underneath the figure says weight details may vary depending on the product's material, which is why two colourways of the same size can feel different on the foot.
- Where is the size printed inside a Dior B27?
- Dior's published product pages document the construction, the lining, the sole and the origin line, and none of them documents the position of the size marking, so the location of the printed size is not something these pages settle. A photograph of the inside of the shoe and a photograph of the box label answer that question in one step. Where a pair is being discussed at a distance, those two photographs carry more of the size question than any number of clean outside angles.
- Is Dior B27 sizing the same as the B30 or the B23?
- No, and Dior publishes a fit line per model rather than one rule for its sneakers. The B30 Countdown and the B23 League are both published as true to size, and one editorial guide describes the B27 as true to size with a standard width and more accommodating than the B23 while, on the same page, advising a half size down from a usual US sneaker size. That is a contradiction inside one source rather than a translation between two, which is why a size carried across from a B23 or a B30 is an assumption and not a conversion.
